TaskCycle — A Kid and a Bike

Overview

TaskCycle is an iOS app that helps kids run small neighbourhood service businesses. We take privacy seriously — especially because our users include minors. This policy explains what data we collect, how it's used, and how it's protected.

Data Stored on Your Device

TaskCycle stores the following information locally on your iPhone:

• Your profile: name, age, company name, neighbourhood, contact info, bio
• Customer list: names, addresses, service notes
• Job history: dates, status, photos, earnings
• Business profile photo and logo

This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly use a feature that sends it to our server (such as creating a customer web page or sending an SMS notification).

Data Sent to Our Server

When you use connected features, the following may be sent to our server at taskcycle.arcticsurfdesigns.com:

• Customer web pages: Your company name, neighbourhood, service list, prices, and before/after job photos are stored on the server to generate customer-facing pages.
• SMS notifications: Customer phone numbers are passed through our server to send SMS via Twilio. We do not store customer phone numbers beyond what is needed to send the message.
• Photos: Job photos uploaded for customer pages are stored on the server.

We do not collect analytics, crash reports, or usage telemetry.

Children's Privacy

TaskCycle is designed for users aged 10–16. We do not collect personal information from children beyond what is necessary to operate the app features they choose to use. A parent or guardian should review any profile information entered into the app before it is published to a customer web page.

We do not share any user data with advertisers, data brokers, or third parties for marketing purposes.

Photos

Before/after job photos are stored on our server only if you choose to enable customer web pages. Photos are accessible only via a unique, unlisted URL. We do not use job photos for any other purpose.

Location

The app uses your customers' addresses to display pins on a map (Apple Maps geocoding). Your device location is not tracked or stored by TaskCycle.

Data Deletion

All locally stored data is deleted when you uninstall the app. To request deletion of any data stored on our server (customer pages, photos), email us at jeff@arcticsurfdesigns.com and we will remove it within 7 days.

Third-Party Services

• Apple Maps — used for address geocoding and map display. Subject to Apple's privacy policy.
• Twilio — used for SMS delivery. Phone numbers are processed per Twilio's privacy policy.

We do not use advertising SDKs, analytics platforms, or social media SDKs.

Security

Our server uses HTTPS (TLS) for all connections. Customer web pages use randomly generated URL slugs — they are not listed or indexed anywhere. No passwords are stored.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
